Looking for a wine tasting?

With its beautiful hills full of vineyards if which the Chianti is counted to be among the best known, Tuscany is by far the holiday wine region par excellence. The Tuscan wines originate from the hills around Florence (Firenze).

La Tegolaia and its 5 hectares is totally surrounded by vineyards: to the North the vineyards of the Marquese de Frescobaldi (together with Antinori and Ricasoli, the top 3). Each of them about 30 generations of recorded winemakers.

Go for a walk to Nippozano Castle of the Frescobaldi family, beautiful views and 1000-year history – for a small fee Laura or Stefania will give you a visit of the castle and its history. The British and Belgian Royal family are close friends. Best to book in advance.

To the south, the vineyards of count Busi. La Villa Travignoli, via Travignoli 78,50060 Pelago, The Cantina can be visited and you can taste the wine “La Tegolaia”, same name as our house, made from the vines next to the entrance.
